Kate Spade Spring 2012

2 Feb

Okay this only came out today but I’m already completely obsessed.

Brand spanking new Spring 2012 campaign from Kate Spade New York.  What is not to love about this.  Brightly saturated hues of tangerine and hot pink mixed with a graphic black and white Japanese fan prints.  Very very cool.  It’s a little bit sexier than other looks Kate Spade has done in the past but still has their sense of fun.

They were inspired by the bold patterns of Australian artist Florence Broadhurst. Who after living quite a colorful and varied life moved back to Australia and opened a wallpaper studio…..in 1959!  Looking at her offerings online they seem so current to me.  Check out the Kate Spade blog  for more she is the lady that moved them to make this the year of pattern.  Can’t wait to see more!

Jade Green Is Good

30 Jan

Jade green is one of my favorite colors.  After seeing Emily Blunt, who I absolutely love by the way, in jade green Oscar de la Renta at the SAG awards. I simply can not get that color out of my mind. The whole look is simple and lovely with just the right amount of sparkle.

I was looking through my Pinterest boards and I pin this shade quite a bit.  Lets take a look shall we.  I think is the perfect thing for a Monday afternoon.

Anyone else have color they can’t get out of their mind or thoughts on the SAG awards.  I did not actually get to watch. So of course looked online first thing this morning to see who won for best director of a short form documentary what fashion I missed.

Holiday Dinner Dressy Dress

14 Dec

I never really intended to talk about clothing or fashion on this here blog.  But I got a party/dinner/drinks thing next week and I have nothing to wear.  Well nothing to wear that has not been seen before.  Oh, I call this event a thing because I’m not really sure what it is going to be.  It is with my boyfriends company and they have never had a Christmas party before.  It does not help that he said it will be a surprise. But I’m not whining and asking a million questions complaining it will be fun, I like these people and I get to buy an outfitWin-win situation. Anyway, here are some choices I found onlineThere is a black cropped blazer in my closet that hopefully will be involved.

Old Navy

Emerald one of my favorite colors oh and the price is on the cheap side.

Michael Kors via Zappos

Gold sequin sparkly goodness! The cropped blazer would keep it from being over the top.

Kenzie via Zappos

Love the color and the pleating detail.

Ann Taylor Loft

Unusual color for the holidays and cut would be flattering.

Banana Republic

Again, flattering detail and color.

This is kind of the look that is in my head right now.  Only from the knees up, I will most likely pare it with black tights and velvet round toe pumps.  We shall see.  Almost certain I will closely resemble Miss Olivia, right up to the loose perfectly tossed ringlets and in manner of poising effortlesslyHa!  That necklace is sick by the way.

Realize I have not posted pics of my Christmas wrapping as promised but my phone is not letting me upload to my Flicker account. Hopefully soon.

This Weekend Is Mine

7 Oct

Happy Friday!  I am off from work this weekend!  That means two and half whole days that I can focus my time and energy on the many projects around the house.  There may be some sanding and refinishing of the dining room sideboard, possible spay painting in the guest bedroom and maybe some action going down around the front door (fall action that is).  Aw yeah can’t wait.

Oh and Sunday there is soup to be made.   Butternut Squash with pepitas & homemade pumpernickel crostini and Jamie Oliver’s Lentil & Spinach Soup it is going to be so good especially for the people who I am sharing with.  So generous, I know.  Now I won’t be inside the whole weekend I occasionally venture out of the house for reasons other than work.  Thinking of Central Market in downtown Lancaster for some shopping,  need ingredients for said soup.  Also,  a date night with the boyfriend is in the works, dinner and a movie perhaps.  We shall see if I can fit it all in.   Till then have a fabulous weekend below is how in my mind while wearing Old Navy jeans, flats and a cardigan I shall styled during the next two days.  Enjoy!
