Animal Print of the Month-November

16 Nov

I have been trying to get back into the habit of reading every night before bed, it is better for me than say watching reality television on Bravo. Much much better.  But lately I have been so distracted by work, family, holiday stuff etc. etc.  Reading always relaxed me, I just finished Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (And Other Concerns) by Mindy Kaling and it was all kinds of awesome.  Love the section where she talks about what it really means when women are looking for a man who can commit to a relationship.  Ladies want a man who knows what he wants in life, can buy shampoo and owns a real bed not just mattress slapped on the floor.  So funny and honest.  Anyway, if I had this space I’m sure more books would be read.

This is taken from the Parker Palm Springs, a place I would certainly love to visit someday.  It seems like such a cozy and serene place to read with a big glass of wine.  That throw is actually a Moroccan wedding blanket and it is stunning!  On the Parker website the picture is more of a closeup and you can see all the beautiful detail.  Love how everything is done in shades of cream, brown and white but is not flat or boring.  The mix of hard and soft textures keep it interesting.  Oh and fun too, that pillow is definitely a conversation piece.

Now let’s get to why we are here the leopard print bench.  Bamboo leopard bench that is!  Like that the print is on smaller scale than the blanket  and rug so it does not compete any other elements of the room.  It just gives it a hint of glam but the lines of the bench keep it from being to feminine.  This is a hotel space after all and it must feel comfortable to the menfolk.  In fact it is a little bit romantic, maybe someday the boyfriend and I can plan a little getaway. I won’t forget to pack my book.

Nice style. Cozy, with just the right amount of flair.
